With Spasmalgan® compositum, Veyx-Pharma offers a new spasmolytic and analgesic for the gastro-intestinal tract. The product contains the well-established combination of the active ingredients metamizole sodium monohydrate 500 mg/ml and hyoscine butylbromide 4 mg/ml. Instead of phenol, benzyl alcohol is used as a preservative.
Spasmalgan® compositum is registered for horses, cattle, pigs and dogs. It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly in order to treat spasmodic colics in horses or as a supportive therapy for acute diarrhoea in cattle, calves, pigs and dogs.
Spasmalgan® compositum is used to treat spasms or sustained increased tonus of the smooth muscles of the gastro-intestinal tract or of the urine and bile excretory organs associated with pain.
Spasmalgan® compositum is offered in a 100 ml bottle. The shelf life of the product is 2 years, after first opening the immediate packaging 28 days. It is supplied only on medical prescription.
